The Mo Xie Sword had drunk blood and begun to awaken a trace of spiritual energy.

At that moment, Luo Xia held it in her hand, and it trembled with impatience.

It had caught the scent of wolf blood again!

Luo Xia patted its hilt. “Good. Today, I’ll let you drink your fill.”

Fortune Bringer said excitedly, “Master, we only need to use the two spirit stones to distract those wolves again. But we have to be quick—they’ll be able to see again soon.”

Luo Xia smiled. “I know.”

They only needed a brief moment.

The two wolves, unable to see, ran wildly in every direction.

Suddenly, their keen noses caught the scent of the spirit stones.

Spirit stones—and purple ones at that!

The two wolves immediately groped their way toward the stones.

At that moment, Luo Xia sprang into action.

The Mo Xie Sword in her hand had long since been unable to contain itself.

The instant she drew the sword, blood sprayed through the air.

Fortune Bringer’s eyes widened, and in the end, it collapsed to the ground in shock.

Its master had actually severed both wolves’ heads with a single stroke!

Good heavens! She did not possess even the slightest trace of spiritual power!

What kind of profound skill was required to accomplish such a feat?

Fortune Bringer worshiped Luo Xia even more than before.

Looking at the blood covering the ground, Luo Xia’s lips curved into an evil smile.

She had slain three fifth-level wolves without the slightest effort. It was truly unbelievable!

If word of this got out, what kind of monster would the world take her for?

She pulled out a scrap of cloth and wiped the remaining blood from the sword.

The Mo Xie Sword shone with an even more brilliant crimson hue.

Having drunk its fill, it gradually developed a trace of spiritual energy.

“Master, you’re truly incredible!” Fortune Bringer finally recovered and leaped excitedly into the air. “You killed two birds with one stone! You’re amazing!”

Seeing the adoration in Fortune Bringer’s eyes, Luo Xia felt as though she had reclaimed the superiority she had enjoyed in the twenty-first century. In her previous life as an assassin, had she ever returned from a mission without being worshiped by others?

Luo Xia accepted the praise without modesty. “Naturally. Hurry up and dig out the wolves’ cores.”

Fortune Bringer obeyed and sprang into action.

Of course, the little fellow soon gobbled down the two purple spirit stones as well.

Luo Xia sighed. What a wasteful little glutton!

“Master, shall we go look for Lord Shadowless now?” Fortune Bringer asked after digging out two more wolf cores, so excited that it could hardly contain itself. These were extraordinary supplements!

Luo Xia nodded.

More than half a day had already passed. She had no idea how things were going for Shadowless.

Several times, she had nearly been unable to endure it and wanted to send him a voice transmission. Yet at the final moment, she had always held back.

“Fortune Bringer, you can find Shadowless, can’t you?” Luo Xia asked.

Fortune Bringer nodded.

It then led Luo Xia back the way they had come.

After walking roughly five miles, Luo Xia saw Pang Qingyu.

Pang Qingyu had nearly gone mad searching for Luo Xia. She had thought Luo Xia had been carried off by wolves and had raced all over the place looking for her. Fortunately, she had finally found her.

When she saw that Luo Xia was safe and sound, she let out a sigh of relief.

“Luo Xia, instead of staying where you were told, where did you run off to?” Pang Qingyu scolded angrily.

Luo Xia knew that the girl was the typical type with a sharp tongue but a tender heart. Seeing her drenched in sweat, Luo Xia knew she must have been searching for her.

Luo Xia smiled. “Miss Pang, I was bored, so I went for a walk.”

“You—you—you…” Pang Qingyu leaped up in fury. “Just because you were bored, I nearly ran myself to death looking for you! Why weren’t you carried off by wolves?”

Luo Xia smiled again. “Are you worried about me, Miss Pang?”

Having her true feelings exposed, Pang Qingyu flew into an embarrassed rage. “Who’s worried about you? Don’t flatter yourself! If I weren’t afraid that Brother Shadowless might become distracted during the battle, I wouldn’t have bothered looking for you!”

Hearing that Shadowless had already joined the battle, Luo Xia’s heart tightened.

“Shadowless… is he all right?” Luo Xia asked.
