Chapter 100: The Carefree Beauty 3
Wangyou did not answer the ancestor of the Luo family; instead, he continued to channel his power into the wooden sword.
"Sweeping Fallen Leaves"—an attack of infinite power, leaving nothing in its wake. It was the most formidable technique of Master Wu Yuming. Master Wu, a peak tenth-level powerhouse and a superior ninth-grade alchemist, was a man of profound compassion who sought to save all living beings. In his later years, he had abandoned the path to immortality for the sake of the woman he loved, choosing to live in seclusion far from the mundane world. In this world, finding someone as compassionate as Master Wu Yuming was an impossibility—such kindness had long since vanished.
As Wangyou’s "Sweeping Fallen Leaves" struck the collapsed section of the cavern, countless boulders and piles of earth were sent flying away. A clear, sunken path instantly appeared before them, swept so clean that not a speck of dust remained. A dozen blood-soaked figures were also flung out from the rubble. The Luo ancestor immediately cast a spell, pulling the dozens of men toward them.
Seeing the bloodied group on the ground, Wangyou sighed, "Amitabha, may the Buddha bless you all."
The Luo ancestor quickly administered spirit-replenishing pills to the group. Exhausted from severe blood loss, they were all hanging by a thread. Wangyou became even busier. He started by saving Luo Xiang, who was at the lowest level.
Luo Xiang had been on the verge of death, but thanks to Wangyou’s miraculous healing, he was revived after a short while. Wangyou then continued his work on Luo Rong. The Luo ancestor had initially assumed his grandsons were doomed, but seeing this young man save them with a single stroke, he could not help but view him with newfound respect.
"Wuying, this fellow certainly has some tricks up his sleeve," Pang Xiaoyu said, glancing at Situ Tengyi.
Situ Tengyi lifted an eyebrow faintly. "He is merely using Master Wu Yuming’s Soul-Returning Pill."
"What is his relationship with Wu Yuming?" Pang Xiaoyu asked.
"Whatever it may be, it has nothing to do with me." Situ Tengyi looked toward Luo Xia, and seeing her gaze fixed intently on Wangyou, he felt a tightness in his chest. "Luoluo, if you don't want to be recognized by acquaintances, let us leave."
Pang Xiaoyu nearly burst into laughter. Situ’s jealous streak was truly adorable. Regarding Luo Xia, Pang Xiaoyu was incredibly curious; after all, she was the first person capable of swaying Situ’s emotions. Luo Xia did not want her grandfather to recognize her, so she nodded. She felt that Wangyou was far from simple.
Just as the group prepared to depart, the Luo ancestor blocked their way. "Hold it right there!"
The Luo ancestor stood in their path, arrogant and demanding. "You can leave, but hand over the treasure first!"
Luo Xia’s opinion of her grandfather plummeted once again. Though it seemed that becoming a powerhouse often necessitated a degree of ruthlessness greater than that of the weak, this blatant, shameless robbery of juniors was truly bottomless.
Situ Tengyi folded his arms across his chest and smiled thinly. "On what grounds do you conclude that we possess the treasure?"
The Luo ancestor had his own methods for sensing the aura of powerhouses. He had just sniffed the surrounding air and realized that all traces of the other powerhouses had vanished. He was willing to bet that even if these youngsters hadn't taken the treasure, they were at least accomplices to those who had.
"Are you going to tell me you didn't just come out of that cavern?" The Luo ancestor was confident; as long as he captured these few, those powerhouses would surely come to their rescue. Originally, he had not been certain of defeating them, but now things were different—he had Wangyou. He was convinced that Wangyou’s connection to Wu Yuming must be significant. As long as he invoked the name of Wu Yuming, those powerhouses would certainly feel some trepidation.
By now, Wangyou had nearly finished saving everyone. Aside from Luo Xiang and Luo Rong, who required the Soul-Returning Pill, the others only needed a transfusion of spiritual energy to regain consciousness, after which they sat in meditation to heal their wounds.
