Chapter 033: It Depends on My Mood
Ying Shu was startled by the sound of the door opening; despite having entered the alleyway many times, this was the first time she had ever heard it open. She turned back quickly to see a tall man standing at the entrance. Because he was silhouetted against the light, she could not make out his features.
"How did you get in here?" the man asked. His deep, calm voice held a hint of surprise. Just then, the security camera by the door flickered to life, casting a light that illuminated the man's face.
Approaching General Yuan’s grave with practiced familiarity, Chunyu Yan knelt down hurriedly, while Yelu Qi followed silently behind.
Xiao Zhenyan rushed toward him as if possessed. Yelu Zhongyuan, unable to fend off the onslaught, was slashed several times. Seeing that the situation had turned against them, the men in black grabbed Xiao Zhenyan and fled. Yelu Zhongyuan tried to pursue them, but his strength failed him.
After those men emerged, they offered greetings to the man who had previously abducted Shen Mingle. Shen Mingle heard the exchange clearly, but, unable to make a sound, she could only retreat a few steps.
To prevent the King of the Western Regions from discovering Lin Chuxia, Shen Mingle looked at her only once before withdrawing his gaze with a calm expression. The King’s demand was for him to depose Lin Chuxia and banish her to the cold palace.
Seeing Hua Jiaoniang so anxious about Black Hawk that she disregarded her own status to approach, Zhang Ren froze. She watched as Hua Jiaoniang strode toward her.
As he spoke, he kept casting sidelong glances at Mu Qingsu, as if terrified that Mu Qingsu might do him harm.
Mei Yanchao cursed in frustration, raising his God-Striking Whip high, intending to unleash a powerful strike in the direction where Xuanyuan Yeyan had just vanished.
Upon hearing this, the people behind Lin Chuxia fell silent, craning their necks, desperate to grab that pot of soup and drink it dry.
Standing behind them, Boyan watched Lianshan, who was only a year or two older than him, feeling a touch of envy for the closeness he shared with their master and mistress.
The terrifying power carried within the attack was too much even for the flame-sculpted ice statues, which shattered one after another. Yet, because the attack was infused with divine power, the hand that delivered it did not escape unscathed. Though formed of fire, the hand sustained injuries; the flame-sculpted ice statues left deep gashes across it, though no blood flowed.
It was simply a matter of Lu Chuan needing to travel more, move about, roam the world, and trust in his luck to encounter a Stone of Consciousness.
An Muyu was truly stunned by the sudden proposal. She had never expected Li Yuhao to propose; although she had often teased him about marrying her, she had never actually imagined him doing it.
After Gao Jinhua dispatched his team, he led a group to the construction department of the stadium expansion project and went directly to the manager's office, where they were warmly received.
In the past, everything had to be carried up by hand. A few years ago, when F Village started a brick and tile factory, Zhu Yousheng and Zhu Licai organized the villagers to build a road wide enough for carts leading to the village. Now, people go to F Village to purchase building materials.
"How could you possibly control heavenly fire? What is your true form?" Wu Ya asked, her face pale with lingering terror.
A single spatial spell was often enough to wipe out an entire line of defensive structures, along with the soldiers stationed within.
"1.86 million," Xing Chen said, his tone unruffled, leaving others unable to fathom the true depth of his wealth.
Seeing the flames sweeping toward it, the Blood Demon Dog snapped to its senses instantly. It opened its cavernous maw, darted forward, and with a few ferocious leaps, began to grapple with the two Flame Demons.
Guo Ziming looked at Bu Qianhuai in disbelief, yet he dared not deny it. The man before him possessed the strength to kill him, and while his methods were hardly those of a righteous practitioner, the top-ranked fighter on the Mortal Ranking would likely not stoop to deception.
Knowing that Ying Sha harbored a disdain for the Ling Dynasty, Ji Ziming found himself unable to bring himself to mention his own proud royal title.
