"Oh my god, Jenny!"

Her girlfriends nearby were utterly astonished, staring in disbelief at Jenny’s sudden transformation. Even though everyone present was a being of extraordinary power, none could comprehend such a feat. To make matters more mysterious, the entire process occurred without the slightest ripple of magical energy—completely defying all logic.

"She’s stunning!"

Most eyes were drawn to Jenny Teo’s outfit. Because this world runs parallel to Earth, the aesthetics of the mythic realm are nearly identical to those of Earth. The sudden bloom of modern fashion design in this “desert” of style struck everyone with an unparalleled force, leaving a lasting impression.

"Perfect, Jenny! You are absolutely perfect now!"

"Oh, my goddess!"

"Jenny, tonight I want to drink your bathwater!"

Many of the men were already losing their minds. For those from the mythic world, a sudden wardrobe change wasn’t a big deal—they simply assumed it was some magical technique. What truly mattered was the new attire Jenny now wore.

Jenny Teo stood frozen for about a second. Then, with a snap of her fingers, a dazzling mirror appeared before her, reflecting her current image.

Her eyes sparkled with countless little stars as she gazed into the mirror, growing more and more enamored with what she saw. She knew exactly what had happened.

"Oh my god, Qin Jing, this is simply wonderful! I love this gift so much!"

In her heart, Jenny cried out to Qin Jing, completely unrestrained in her joy.

"No, this is a transaction, Miss Jenny," Qin Jing replied, purposefully correcting her.

Jenny’s smile nearly overflowed from her eyes as she nodded repeatedly. "All right, as you wish. If you call it a transaction, then a transaction it is."

But in her heart she thought: Hmph, proud man. Clearly, he likes me, yet he goes out of his way to find an excuse to send me clothes. To teleport them across space and change my outfit directly must have consumed a lot of spiritual energy. Still, what a perfect party this has been.

"So, how should I pay you the magic stones?"

Jenny, being a goddess, felt there was no need to be petty with a man who fancied her. To her, magic stones were nothing more than ordinary cultivation resources.

"At least a hundred magic stones. Just place them before the mirror."

Qin Jing answered concisely. This direct transfer of goods was precisely the “three trial opportunities” for items that GDP had mentioned. Even clothing could be delivered and tried on directly, just like in a boutique, so the customer could sample before buying.

"Certainly. I’m very pleased with this transaction. Will you come to see me again in the future?"

In the end, Jenny couldn’t maintain her goddess-like composure. She slipped, revealing her true feelings. The cross-world transaction with Qin Jing had delighted her both body and soul; she felt a long-lost thrill. At that moment, she even thought that if Qin Jing put in a bit more effort, she wouldn’t rule out a brief romantic relationship with him.

"Of course. I still need to conduct more trades. Spirit grain, spirit springs, and all sorts of extraordinary resources from the mythic world are in high demand on my end."

Though Qin Jing spoke truthfully, Jenny heard something else entirely: Hmph, proud man—he clearly wants to keep talking with me, yet pretends it’s just about business.

"Well then, as a friend, I’ll include some extraordinary items along with the hundred magic stones in our next transaction. Don’t refuse a friend’s goodwill!"

Jenny giggled, her voice laced with a barely perceptible charm.

Qin Jing replied with mock difficulty, "Jenny, don’t tempt me."

"Haha!"

Jenny, still at the party, burst out laughing, her joy only making her male admirers more infatuated.

"Look! The goddess laughed at my joke!"

"Nonsense, it was my joke that made her laugh!"

"You bastard, are you picking a fight?"

"A duel! I demand a duel with you!"

Qin Jing ignored this trivial commotion, falling silent instead, which made Jenny believe he had withdrawn.

Suddenly, the party’s antics became dull and uninteresting to Jenny. She made her excuses and left the gathering.

She boarded a luxurious flying carriage and returned to a lavishly decorated estate. There, she asked a white-haired but vigorous butler, "How many magic stones do I have left under my name?"

The butler answered, "Miss Jenny, you still have a quota of one hundred and sixty magic stones for this month."

Jenny Teo frowned slightly and instructed, "Bring me a hundred magic stones. Also, I want to go to the vault and select some cultivation resources."

"Yes, Miss."

Qin Jing’s attention followed Jenny to the Teo family’s vault, where he beheld massive wands glowing with violet light, a flying carpet unfurling and curling midair, and a dazzling array of extraordinary items. In fact, most of these objects could not even be identified by Qin Jing’s “Universal Knowledge”—appraising them would cost him a certain amount of G points.

Of course, Qin Jing had no intention of paying. He understood well enough that Jenny was but a member of the Teo family. She might be able to access some family resources, but certainly not all.

But that was just as well. If the other party in this trade were a truly formidable figure, Qin Jing would have even more reason to worry about his own safety. Even with Jenny, he had to conceal his true intentions, acting as if he were merely a man enthralled by a goddess.

Soon, Jenny returned to her bedroom and stood before a mirror, placing one item after another in front of it.

"Qin Jing, are you still there?" she asked softly in her mind.

After deliberately waiting a moment, Qin Jing replied, "I’m here, Miss Jenny. I’m sorry, but my spiritual power can’t sustain a cross-world connection for long."

He knew full well that the more effort he seemed to expend, the more valuable the transferred items would appear.

Sure enough, Jenny’s beautiful eyes sparkled. Looking at the things arrayed before the mirror, she suddenly felt a little shy.

"Qin Jing, I’ve brought the items for the transaction—one hundred magic stones, one hundred pounds of spirit rice, one hundred pounds of spirit spring water, and some snacks I like for you to try. It’s not much, but I promise I’ll help you get the ‘Dragon Tactics’ scroll. I’ve found out it’s going up for auction soon, and I will win it for you."

Not much?

Qin Jing was inwardly ecstatic. Perhaps these things were ordinary in the mythic world, but on Earth, they were worth a fortune. To say nothing of the rest, just one hundred pounds of spirit rice would fetch a million! And it was priceless, too, because it was so rare. Of course, the real prize was the hundred magic stones—bringing those over would mean a thousand G points, instantly! And with his current stock, Qin Jing could exchange for two thousand G points at any time. This was the very definition of a windfall!

Naturally, Qin Jing did not let this show. He simply frowned and said, "It’s all right. This is enough to restore my spiritual power. But what is this ‘Dragon Tactics’ scroll? Is the ‘Six Tactics’ you gave me incomplete?"

He put on the appearance of a simple, honest fool.
