Chapter 41: Wild Spending, Formidable New Skills
The four newly emerged sub-skills—the first two being natural upgrades of the previous skills—now demanded a much higher investment of g-points for each advancement. Every sub-skill, including the latter two, required a hefty 2,000 g-points to level up! Moreover, to further elevate the main skill, Expert Sales, an additional 10,000 g-points would be needed.
Qin Jing calculated roughly: if he wished to continue upgrading the “Sales” skill, he would need 18,000 g-points—an amount equivalent to nearly two hundred million in GDP!
This time, however, the upgrade revealed to Qin Jing the rewards he could expect from the next level.
It was here that he had to mention a remarkable change: the moment Qin Jing unlocked “Expert Sales,” the skill tree underwent a magical transformation. In the skill list, alongside Recycling and Sales, a new skill appeared—General Knowledge.
In the beginning, Qin Jing had forged his initial two skills through constant recycling and selling, thereby condensing them on the GDP list. Now, as these two skills matured, the “General Knowledge” skill made its first appearance.
This skill was unlocked directly, without requiring Qin Jing to expend any g-points. In gaming terms, it was a passive skill.
General Knowledge: provides universal cognitive ability regarding extraordinary common sense; upon seeing ordinary items, he may identify their general attributes without consuming g-points.
Not only that, once General Knowledge was activated, Qin Jing found that he could even interpret his existing skills to a certain degree.
For example, the four major sub-skills under Expert Sales.
The blue “Client List” skill, once unlocked, would accommodate more clients and their information, open a channel for major clients, and synchronize their needs, presenting even more data.
The blue “Sales Arrangement” skill could schedule sales over broader times and ranges, even for mere acquaintances, without being limited to those in the “Client List.”
The Solo Sales Strategy—a new skill—was tailored for individual clients. Once implemented, it would grant complete mastery over almost all client information: their current location, psyche, specific needs, even their purchasing desire, alongside a special channel for real-time contact.
The Powerful Sales Advertisement skill was even more outrageous: it could target clients in the list and create mysterious advertising effects, catalyzing their purchasing desires.
In short, every skill was exceptionally practical. Once fully unlocked, Qin Jing was certain that relying solely on “Expert Sales,” he could become an unrivaled tycoon.
Furthermore, acquiring General Knowledge gave Qin Jing clearer insight into his next promotion.
He could “see” that once Expert Sales was upgraded, the skill would become “Master Sales.” The new skill born of Master Sales would be “Sales Space”—literally, a peculiar space where sales objects could be summoned at will. This meant Qin Jing could endlessly summon legendary figures from the mythic world onto Earth!
Besides that, the yet-to-be-upgraded “Recycling Proficiency”—if Qin Jing spent 400 g-points—would advance to “Expert Recycling.” Expert Recycling would present two new skills, equally practical, making Qin Jing covetous.
But now, he only had 420 g-points left.
“If I unlock Expert Recycling, my g-points will be nearly depleted, and each new skill will require 2,000 g-points to activate. The actual benefit isn’t much. So, I might as well…”
After estimating in his mind, Qin Jing turned his gaze to the ten million cash, gritting his teeth.
“Exchange for g-points!”
With this thought, a breeze swept over the suitcase before him, and in the next moment, the mirror generated a powerful suction. One by one, the cases floated up and vanished into the mirror.
Then, Qin Jing took out magic stones from the recycling space and opted for exchange. He had sold some magic stones and used one on an alchemy puppet, so only 89 remained. He exchanged them all, gaining 890 g-points!
With this operation, the g-point tally soared from 420 to 2,010!
Nearly exhausting all his “savings”—after sacrificing seven million old bills and all the magic stones—the new skill was activated!
Solo Sales Strategy!
He chose not the blue “Client List” or “Sales Arrangement,” but this new skill, for he saw countless possibilities within it.
Upon activating the skill, Qin Jing discovered a new button appeared behind each entry in the “Client List”: Solo Sales Strategy.
Seeing two avatars with this button, Qin Jing clenched his fists in excitement and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He spent 2,000 g-points and finally unlocked the channel to contact the mythic world!
Jessica Tio, Solo Sales Strategy (50 g)
Jenny Tio, Solo Sales Strategy (30 g)
Without hesitation—though Jessica was impressive, her offerings were too advanced; the supermodel crystal she gave remained unidentified. Comparatively, transactions with Jenny Tio yielded more practical benefits.
He took out another 300,000 old bills, exchanged them, and used “Solo Sales Strategy”!
On the first use, three trial opportunities were granted.
A line of prompts appeared on the mirror, followed by a blur and a cacophony of voices.
“Miss Jenny Tio, whose brilliance dims even the stars, I hope you will accept my admiration. I am willing to give you all my family’s estates.”
The scene cleared. On the other side was a banquet-like event. Jenny Tio, dressed in splendid attire, stood at the center like a princess. Men and women in medieval European costumes surrounded her. The speaker was a short, plump man, his gaze infatuated as he knelt on one knee, clearly confessing his love.
Jenny Tio covered her mouth and laughed elegantly, but the words from her red lips were sharp:
“Oh, come now, Young Master Dika. From what I know, your family holds plenty of land, but all of it is barren, only suitable for growing common spiritual grains—a worthless asset. Even if the acreage reaches ten million, the income is pitiful. I never bother to look at those estates. Are you sure you want to offer them as a token of love?”
The plump Young Master Dika’s face flushed beet red, stammering, “But… but that’s all the land I can inherit, Miss Jenny. I am willing to give you everything. The estates are just a metaphor…”
Jenny Tio’s expression chilled. “Give it up, Dika. I will not accept your pursuit!”
With that, she turned and left the circle.
Qin Jing showed a thoughtful look, for as Jenny Tio spoke, the mirror revealed abundant information beside her.
Client’s Situation: Wearing a platinum necklace, attending a high-society gathering, now the center of attention.
Client’s Mindset: Boring banquet, boring men, seeking excitement.
Specific Needs: Lacking a man who matches her status.
Desire to Purchase: Extremely low.
