After a short while, they arrived at the private room.

Shi Yun’s eyes lit up the moment she saw Gao Qi’an. A broad smile curved her lips as she joyfully called out, “Cousin!”

Gao Qi’an wore a white shirt paired with a dark gray tie, layered with a light khaki knitted cardigan, and finished with black straight-leg dress pants. His figure was sharp and neat.

Golden-rimmed glasses rested on his high nose bridge, his eyes gentle and warm. His short hair was neatly trimmed, and every gesture he made exuded refined elegance.

Upon seeing Shi Yun, he quickly approached with a doting smile tugging at his lips. He raised his hand slightly to ruffle her hair. “Xiao Yun, finally seeing you. Have you missed your brother?”

Shi Yun smiled and nodded, “Of course I have!”

Gao Qi’an was three years older than Shi Yun. He had gone abroad when she just started university and had remained overseas until now.

By calculation, it had been three years since they last met.

She truly missed him.

Beside them, Fu Siyu quietly observed their affectionate exchange.

His brows gradually furrowed, his previously calm and composed expression darkened, and he let out a soft snort.

At that moment, Shi Yun suddenly remembered Fu Siyu was still there, so she hurriedly introduced, “This is my cousin, Gao Qi’an. You should know each other.”

Fu Siyu glanced at him coldly and replied curtly, “I don’t know him.”

Shi Yun blinked in confusion.

Hadn’t he said he knew him earlier?

Gao Qi’an frowned slightly, casting a displeased look at Fu Siyu. “Fu Siyu, why are you here too?”

Fu Siyu lifted his gaze casually, his eyes cold and indifferent. “I’m here to accompany Yun Yun for dinner.”

He then naturally moved to Shi Yun’s side and gently pulled out her chair.

Seeing this, Gao Qi’an’s lips pressed into a thin line. He then shifted slightly, leaned close to Shi Yun’s ear, and in a low voice meant only for her, asked, “Xiao Yun, is this the ‘friend’ you mentioned?”

Shi Yun forced a smile, feeling awkward.

She had often badmouthed Fu Siyu in front of him when they were younger.

That was why Gao Qi’an had always disliked Fu Siyu and looked down on him.

Suddenly calling him a friend was difficult to explain.

A trace of reluctance flickered in Gao Qi’an’s eyes. He took a few quick steps, placing a gift he had brought for Shi Yun on the table.

Then he casually pulled out a chair and sat on Shi Yun’s other side, nudging her shoulder with a proud smile. “Xiao Yun, look at the gift your brother brought you.”

As he spoke, he pushed the gift closer to her.

Fu Siyu’s expression darkened. His cold gaze fixed on the gift Gao Qi’an had set down, and he snorted quietly, folding his arms and leaning back in his chair.

Shi Yun smiled and quickly moved the gift aside, waving her hand. “I like everything. Let’s order first—I’m starving.”

Gao Qi’an skillfully called out several of Shi Yun’s favorite dishes to the waiter.

After ordering, he turned to her with expectant eyes. “These are all your favorite dishes. How is it? Your brother didn’t get it wrong, right?”

Shi Yun nodded softly, replying, “Yeah, you remembered correctly.”

Fu Siyu watched their interaction, his faintly upturned lips drooping downward, his face growing darker. His fingers tapped lightly on the table.

Feeling the tension, Shi Yun quickly pushed the menu toward Fu Siyu. “You pick what you want.”

Fu Siyu replied coolly, “Anything’s fine.”

Shi Yun then marked a few dishes and handed the menu to the waiter.

Looking at Gao Qi’an, she asked with a hint of curiosity, “Cousin, why did you come back all of a sudden?”

Gao Qi’an leaned forward slightly, hands folded on the table. “I finished handling things abroad and thought I’d come back to see you.”

In truth, once he heard about Shi Yun’s situation, he couldn’t help but book the earliest flight home.

He refused to see his cherished little sister, whom he had spoiled dearly, being mistreated.

Fu Siyu chuckled softly beside them and said leisurely, “Oh, so busy yet still find time to see Yun Yun. Must be tough for Young Master Gao. The grass isn’t greener overseas, huh? What made you suddenly decide to come back?”

Gao Qi’an’s face darkened as he glared at Fu Siyu, gritting his teeth. “Fu Siyu, cut the sarcasm!”

Shi Yun blinked, wondering what was going on between these two.

They could even quarrel over this?

Clearing her throat lightly, she said, “Cousin, how long do you plan to stay?”

Gao Qi’an composed himself and said to her, “This time I might not leave. I want to spend more time with you.”

Fu Siyu snorted coldly, a playful smirk curling his lips as he raised an eyebrow. “Not leaving? Young Master Gao is quite carefree, giving up the exciting world abroad just like that. Planning to stick around here just for Yun Yun?”

Gao Qi’an shot him a hostile glance. “Of course. After all, there are plenty of opportunists eyeing my little Yun. I have to keep a close watch.”

They were all men, and Gao Qi’an could see right through Fu Siyu’s intentions.

Fu Siyu gave him a sideways glance and let out a light, disdainful snort.

Shi Yun looked between them, rubbed her temple, and sighed. “Save your energy for eating.”

Had she known they would be so antagonistic, she wouldn’t have brought Fu Siyu.

Logically, she could understand why her cousin disliked Fu Siyu.

But she couldn’t quite figure out Fu Siyu’s attitude.

Was he always this talkative?

After her words, the atmosphere in the private room fell silent.

Fortunately, the dishes arrived quickly. The door to the room was gently pushed open, and the waitstaff filed in, bringing one exquisite dish after another.

The first to arrive was Shi Yun’s favorite—Longjing shrimp. The translucent shrimp were tender and plump, while the green Longjing tea leaves emitted a delicate fragrance.

Gao Qi’an was quick-handed and immediately took the serving chopsticks, picking up a generous portion of shrimp and placing them in Shi Yun’s bowl with a gentle smile. “Xiao Yun, this is your favorite. Eat more.”

Fu Siyu, unhurried, also picked up a shrimp and placed it beside Shi Yun’s bowl, softly saying, “If you like it, eat more.”

Shi Yun hurriedly picked up some shrimp. “You both eat too; don’t just feed me.”

She was truly hungry and just wanted to eat, baffled by their sudden rivalry.

However, they seemed to ignore her completely.

When the sweet and sour spare ribs were served, Gao Qi’an quickly picked up the largest piece, carefully removed the bone, and handed it to Shi Yun. “Watch out for the bones. You used to love this too.”

Fu Siyu slid the entire plate of spare ribs toward Shi Yun and said, “Yun Yun, this whole plate is for you. Take your time.”

Shi Yun was too tired to respond and leisurely began eating.

Gao Qi’an grew slightly impatient and glared at Fu Siyu, slamming his chopsticks down. “Fu Siyu, are you here to eat or what? You don’t even know what Yun Yun likes to eat, so what’s the point of copying me?”

Fu Siyu lazily raised his eyes without lifting his eyelids, a slight smile at the corner of his mouth as he said, “Young Master Gao, don’t talk with your mouth full.”

Gao Qi’an was momentarily stumped, pressing his lips together and letting out a cold snort.
