Chapter Seven: The Little Shop Opens Its Doors
March Seven waved to Walter.
“Uncle Yang, Uncle Yang, don’t worry, Ye Yunren is a good person.”
Xing immediately chimed in.
“That’s right, Ye Yunren is a good person.”
Dan Heng added from the side.
“I’ve observed him; there’s no hostility in his eyes toward our train crew. Besides, although the train crew has no history of renting out compartments, there have been non-crew members traveling on the train, haven’t there?
Both are similar in nature, following the train from one world to another.”
Pam nodded in agreement with Dan Heng’s words.
“Exactly, Pam.
Anyone willing to travel with the train is always welcome. Renting a compartment is no problem—we have so many empty ones.”
Seeing no objections, Jizi made the final decision on the matter.
“In that case, I’ll send a message to Ye Yun right away.
As for the rented compartment, how about the cargo car right behind our resting car?”
Everyone agreed, and Jizi promptly sent a message to Ye Yun.
...
At that moment, Ye Yun was already asleep in a small room arranged by the Black Tower.
True to the Black Tower’s assistance, the room was quite luxurious.
The staff in charge of accommodations, upon hearing it was on the Black Tower’s orders, were exceptionally attentive.
Without hesitation, they assigned Ye Yun the most luxurious presidential suite and arranged a very lavish dinner.
Ye Yun received the message the next morning.
Although there was no day or night in space, Ye Yun still followed a schedule of being active during the day and resting at night.
Even without distinguishing day from night, time still existed.
By tracking time, Ye Yun could deduce the approximate time of day.
After waking, Ye Yun enjoyed the exquisite breakfast prepared by the staff and then headed to the train crew.
Standing beside the door of the observation car, Ye Yun knocked.
Soon, the door was opened from inside, and Pam appeared before him.
“Who are you? Why are you knocking?”
Ye Yun said,
“My name is Ye Yun. Jizi asked me to come over to discuss renting a compartment.”
Upon hearing this, Pam stepped aside and invited Ye Yun in.
“Oh, it’s you. Pam, come in. Jizi and the others are having breakfast.”
Ye Yun stepped onto the train and entered the observation car.
Inside, Jizi and the others were sitting around eating breakfast.
Xing waved upon seeing Ye Yun.
“Ye Yun! You’re here!”
Jizi greeted him as well.
“Ye Yun, have you eaten breakfast?”
Ye Yun approached.
“Yes, your breakfast looks quite plentiful.”
At this moment, Walter spoke up.
“Have some with us.”
Ye Yun looked at Walter.
“No, thank you. By the way, what’s this gentleman’s name?”
Walter introduced himself.
“I’m Walter, a member of the train crew. Yesterday when you arrived, I was busy counting supplies. By the time I returned, you had already left.”
Ye Yun smiled.
“It’s not too late to meet now. You all eat first; I’ll wait until you’re done, and then we’ll talk.”
With that, Ye Yun sat to the side, took out his phone, and continued cataloging items from the system.
Currently, the number of item types in Ye Yun’s phone had exceeded one thousand.
Walter watched Ye Yun and felt no hostility from him.
Having been around for so many years, Walter trusted his judgment of people.
...
A few minutes later, after finishing breakfast, the train crew led Ye Yun to the cargo car behind the resting car where Jizi and others usually rested.
By now, the clutter inside the cargo car had been cleared out.
Jizi turned and asked Ye Yun,
“How about this one?”
Ye Yun nodded with satisfaction.
“This will do.”
He then took out a [Shop Card] and tore it apart.
The moment the card was torn, it transformed into a beam of light that enveloped the entire car.
The light filled the compartment, dazzling everyone and making it hard to keep their eyes open.
When the light faded, everyone’s eyes brightened.
What they saw was astonishing.
The previously dim and modest cargo car had transformed into an exquisite restaurant.
On the right side was an open kitchen, connected to a bar counter with several high stools.
On the left side stood a floor-to-ceiling window beside which were three booths, each seating four people.
In front of them was a small bar with two touchscreens on the counter, displaying the goods Ye Yun sold.
At the center of the car was a long table capable of seating ten diners.
The entire compartment was decorated in warm tones, creating a cozy and bright atmosphere.
Ye Yun looked at the shop before him with great satisfaction.
The system’s shop card was truly impressive—the decoration perfectly suited his preferences.
It could serve as both a kitchen and a retail space.
When idle, he could even sit with a few friends, chat, and enjoy some drinks.
Xing and March Seven stared in shock at the dramatically transformed car.
“March, pinch me and see if I’m dreaming.”
March Seven squeezed Xing’s side hard and twisted.
“Ahh!”
Xing gasped sharply.
“Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!”
Confirming it wasn’t a dream, Xing looked at the shop in disbelief.
“This shop is real? Ye Yun, how did you do it?”
Ye Yun clapped his hands.
“Of course, I used a product I’m selling.”
The shop card was also sold in the system’s store but under a different name—the Renovation Card, priced at 1,000 star coins.
Shortly after, Ye Yun gave the train crew a tour of the shop.
Jizi eyed the empty space next to the bar, considering whether to move the spiritual energy coffee machine there.
The cabinet space in the observation car was a bit cramped and inconvenient for her operations; placing it here would be much better.
Xing and March Seven wandered around the small bar.
Xing opened the fridge and was immediately stunned—it contained an extra dimensional space with a freezer of about fifty cubic meters.
“March! Come see this!”
March Seven, who was taking photos of the drinks with a stargazing camera, ran over to Xing’s side.
“What’s up?”
Xing pointed inside the fridge.
“March, look at this fridge—it’s huge!”
March Seven took a closer look and was equally amazed.
“This fridge is so big!”
Jizi, Walter, and Dan Heng also arrived and marveled at the fridge’s extra-dimensional space.
While the train crew toured the shop, Ye Yun sat quietly and communicated with the system internally.
“System, submit task.”
