Chapter Five: Hiko Goes Shopping and Gets in the Car

More than half an hour later, outside a cafeteria in the space station.

Ye Yun held a bowl of noodles, eating while watching Kiko, Xing, and San Yue Qi-san browsing goods on a nearby bench.

After leaving the small garden earlier, Ye Yun had been searching for a place to stay all along the way.

He hadn’t found accommodation but did find this cafeteria.

Entering the cafeteria, Ye Yun thought to buy something to eat.

However, this cafeteria required a work permit for payment.

Helpless, Ye Yun approached Black Tower and had her arrange a work permit for the space station.

Black Tower didn’t care how Ye Yun, an uninvited guest, came to the space station.

As long as Ye Yun had something interesting to her, that was enough.

Over ten minutes passed, but Kiko didn’t find what she wanted.

Seeing Kiko turn off her phone without buying anything, San Yue said,

“Kiko, if there’s nothing you like here, you can tell Ye Yun what you want. He said there’s nothing he can’t get.”

Ye Yun nodded.

“Exactly. My goods come from countless worlds; as long as you have enough Star Coins, you can buy anything you want.”

Kiko thought for a moment.

“Do you have a coffee machine? The one on the train just broke down.”

After hearing Ye Yun’s introduction, Kiko’s eyes fixed on the Spiritual Energy Coffee Machine.

Its coffee could enhance one’s constitution.

More importantly, it was hand-brewed! Hand-brewed coffee was her favorite.

She wasn’t interested at all in fully automatic machines with fixed ratios.

Pointing at the Spiritual Energy Coffee Machine, Kiko said,

“This one, then. But you’ll have to make a trip—I need to go back to the train to get the Star Qiong.”

Ye Yun put away the other two machines, holding the Spiritual Energy Coffee Machine in one hand.

“Let’s go. I have nothing better to do anyway.”

Kiko smiled gently.

“Thanks for the trouble.”

The four of them headed toward the platform, where the Starfall Train was waiting.

The four walked together, chatting and laughing along the way.

Ye Yun stood at a height and looked down. A vintage-style steam train was parked there.

San Yue, holding her new camera and snapping photos everywhere, happily ran off to get water.

Kiko went to the lounge car to her room to fetch the Star Qiong.

With nothing better to do, Ye Yun opened his phone to continue copying product listings.

Xing leaned over to watch; Ye Yun wrote, and she watched.

When she saw something interesting, she’d take a photo with her phone to remember, planning to buy it from Ye Yun later.

San Yue returned with water and joined in.

Over ten minutes later, Kiko returned to the observation car.

Unlike when she left, this time a young man, Dan Heng, accompanied her.

Dan Heng was one of the nameless guests on the train, silent and reserved.

San Yue was surprised to see Dan Heng.

“Oh! Dan Heng, you finally decided to leave the data room!”

Dan Heng responded coldly,

“I was recording information on the Doomsday Beasts.”

San Yue was speechless. Dan Heng, can’t you react a little more?

Kiko handed the Star Qiong to Ye Yun.

Kiko then turned to Ye Yun.

“Ye Yun, can Dan Heng see your product list?”

Ye Yun handed the updated product list to Dan Heng.

Dan Heng only said “Thanks” and began looking it over.

Kiko moved the Spiritual Energy Coffee Machine onto a nearby cabinet.

Seeing Dan Heng still browsing, Ye Yun thought for a moment and went over to Kiko to watch the fun.

Kiko, looking at the spirit stone slot, suddenly remembered she hadn’t bought spirit stones yet.

Ye Yun, noticing this, spent 100 Star Coins to buy a spirit stone.

All Star Coins earned from selling goods belonged to Ye Yun; the system took not a single coin.

“Here, I’ll give you one. Try it out.”

Kiko’s lips curved slightly.

“Thank you.”
