Chapter Four: Heavenly Flames! Unsheathing the Sword!
Stelle’s eyes lit up the moment she heard the name.
"Whoa! That’s a pretty cool name!"
"Are these two guns very powerful?"
Ye Yun nodded and picked up the Key of Destruction. "These two guns are just in their ordinary state right now. They have another form. Key of Destruction! Unsheathe!"
The Key of Destruction suddenly flashed with light, and a massive greatsword radiating flames appeared in Ye Yun's hand. Stelle’s eyes sparkled as she looked at it! This was way too cool!
Ye Yun felt the stamina draining from his body. The side effects of the Key of Destruction had been nullified, replaced by a stamina cost through the system’s influence. He handed the weapon to Stelle. "If you activate this mode, it will continuously drain your stamina. Be careful."
Stelle took the Key of Destruction and swung it a few times, finding it surprisingly intuitive. Moreover, she didn't seem to feel any stamina depletion at all. "Ye Yun, I don’t feel my stamina dropping. What’s going on?"
Ye Yun pondered for a moment. It likely had to do with the Stellaron within her, which had fused with her body to become her source of power. "It might be related to the Stellaron inside you."
At this point, Herta spoke up. "Put that greatsword away for now. Come with me in a bit for a check-up; I want to see if there have been any changes to the Stellaron in your body."
Stelle agreed readily. A check-up was probably for the best, considering her Stellaron had flared up just two days ago.
Herta then turned to Ye Yun. "Add me to your contacts. I’ll come find you tomorrow; my Stellar Jades are arriving then." Asta had just messaged Herta to say they would be delivered tomorrow, as she was busy organizing the station’s repairs today.
After exchanging contact information, Herta suddenly remembered something. "By the way, I made a copy of that product list on your phone. Just letting you know."
Ye Yun didn't mind; he had written the list down specifically for customers to see anyway. "That’s fine."
Herta nodded slightly and looked at Stelle, who was still having fun with the Key of Destruction. "Stop playing. Come with me, let's get that check-up done."
Hearing this, Stelle reluctantly put the weapon away. After the three women bade farewell to Ye Yun, he checked his credit balance on his phone, pondering where to rest in the space station.
...
Herta led Stelle and March 7th to her laboratory. March 7th had tagged along simply because she was bored. The Astral Express was currently replenishing supplies, a task handled by Himeko and Mr. Yang, and she couldn't really help. Since she had nothing better to do, she figured she might as well come along for the show.
As the three entered the lab, they saw a fiery red figure. March 7th was surprised. "Himeko! Aren't you at the platform?"
The person was indeed Himeko, the navigator of the Astral Express. Himeko smiled faintly. "Things are mostly finished over there, and with Welt keeping an eye on it, there’s no problem. I came here to talk to Herta; I want to improve my weapon."
March 7th asked curiously, "Is it that orbital laser cannon that floats in the sky?"
Himeko nodded. "Yes." She turned to Herta. "Herta, do you have a moment?"
Herta refused flatly. "No. I have to check the body of this Stellaron brat."
Himeko looked at Stelle, who gave a sheepish nod. Herta brushed past Himeko and walked over to a full-body scanner. "Get in."
Stelle hurried into the scanner and stood still. Herta activated the instrument and performed a scan, finding no abnormalities with the Stellaron. To be safe, she decided to have Stelle activate the greatsword state. "Try summoning the greatsword again."
Stelle obediently took the Key of Destruction from her waist and struck a pose she thought looked very cool. "Key of Destruction! Unsheathe!"
A flash of light passed, and a fiery red greatsword appeared in her hand. Himeko was slightly moved as she looked at the blade. It contained an immense amount of power! Wasn't Stelle suffering from amnesia? Where did this sword come from? Could Herta have made it for her?
Himeko quickly dismissed the thought. Knowing Herta, she wouldn't have the time or interest to craft a custom weapon for Stelle. If she had that kind of time, she would undoubtedly spend it on experiments. Himeko decided to ask Stelle about it later; the weapon was clearly extraordinary.
Just then, an anomaly appeared on Herta’s monitor. Herta raised an eyebrow, looking at the data with newfound interest. "This sword is interesting. It’s actually using the Stellaron directly as a power source."
The display showed that once the Key of Destruction was in its greatsword state, it was constantly absorbing the energy leaking from the Stellaron. Herta looked at Stelle. "That Ye Yun was right; this sword does indeed consume the user's stamina. However, that limitation doesn't apply to you because the Stellaron in your body is covering the cost. I must say, this sword suits you perfectly. Alright, you can step down now."
Stelle was overjoyed by Herta’s analysis. She looked at the Key of Destruction with immense satisfaction. Truly, it was a legendary blade worth pulling for! It matched her so well—she finally had a real weapon! As for that baseball bat? Sorry about that!
Once Herta was finished, Himeko stepped forward. "Stelle, where did you get this weapon? I recall your weapon being a baseball bat?"
Stelle replied without hesitation, "I just pulled it from a gacha! Pretty lucky, right?"
Himeko smiled and praised her, "A gacha pull? Your luck is indeed impressive."
Just then, March 7th took out her newly purchased star-filled camera. "Himeko! Himeko! Look at this camera!"
Himeko noticed the change. "March, you got a new camera?"
"Yeah, I bought it with Stelle just now," March 7th explained. "She bought two 'Trash Can' brand scratch-offs, and I bought this. By the way, Himeko, don’t you want to go see Ye Yun, too? He has so many good things. And you can buy everything there with just Stellar Jades."
Himeko became interested. Oh? Ye Yun? And according to March, both this greatsword and her new camera came from this person. He accepts Stellar Jades—which are usually just decorative stones—as currency? That’s interesting.
"March, do you know where this Ye Yun is now?"
March 7th scratched the back of her head. "I don't have his contact info... wait! Stelle and Herta do, ask them."
Before Himeko could even ask, Stelle pulled out her phone and dialed Ye Yun. "Hello? Ye Yun? Are you still at the usual spot?"
