The Possibility of the Genesis of a Human Research Institute
Page (1/3)
Tone: This is a fan-fiction power fantasy, purely speculative, written by an author whose mental state is fit for a hospital. Life is bitter, and the fan-fic I previously wrote for *Lord of the Mysteries* was too bleak. I don't want this one to be that painful.
However, I welcome readers to point out any logical inconsistencies. I am an author happy to listen to (and borrow) your advice (reviews). [Picks up integrity]
Q: Could a "Research Institute within a human tribe" exist at the end of the Second Epoch, before the Ancient Sun God truly awakened?
Let us recall a character from the original *Lord of the Mysteries*:
"Bloodless" Heath Doyle, the First Mate of the Stars Pirate Group.
In the original work, Heath, as an ordinary person, accidentally had a potion concocted from "Rose Bishop" Beyonder ingredients spilled on him. And then?
He did not go mad, nor did he deviate. He became a Sequence 6 "Rose Bishop."
Possessing the Beyonder abilities of a "Rose Bishop" (as described in the original work), and because he bypassed the "Listener" stage, he suffered no corruption and did not become a lunatic. As long as he does not actively use the "Listening" ability, he remains a normal person (according to the original setting).
This is a lucky case from the original work. In other words, even before the Ancient Sun God appeared carrying the first "Blasphemy Slate," it was possible for human Beyonders of middle sequences to be born.
Then, the second character:

Hermes.
The prototype for our female lead.
The protagonist "Hermione" is the female version of "Hermes." As for why I chose to gender-bend, it is because I am writing a transformation story. In this world, Hermes does not exist; only "Hermione" does (this is my secondary setting for this book). The name Hermione is simply the gender-swapped version of Hermes. There is also a more familiar translation, which is "Hermione." So, our protagonist can also be called "Hermione" [Laughs].
Back to the point, the Roselle Diary in the original work also mentions Hermes: "[Personally experienced the thorny path where early human ancestors tested medicines on themselves, seeking Beyonder powers step by step]."
This also shows that although humans were the weakest race, they never gave up on experimentation; "test subjects" did exist.
The third point is regarding the uniqueness of humanity.
The reason the "Pan-Human" faction in the original work is called as such is because races like Giants and Elves evolved under the influence of Beyonder characteristics. The ancestors of these Pan-Human races were humans. The remains of the parents of the Ancient God "Giant King" Aurmir were human.
The madness of superhuman races stems from the fact that they possess characteristics, and these characteristics are mixed. Therefore, humans without Beyonder characteristics cannot naturally possess this madness. This means that humans are the most rational among all races (i.e., their IQ is online).
Through these three points, we arrive at the premise of this book:
A lucky soul in a human tribe accidentally obtains the extraordinary power of another race, ruling over other humans. Then, a powerhouse from an extraordinary race passes by, the protagonist provokes them, and then—dies...

So, after many such lucky souls die, those who follow are bound to be cautious. Under the pressure of those powerful and mad extraordinary races, some began to band together, gradually gathering and forming a certain scale.
I call this large-scale organization the "Research Institute." Of course, following the naming conventions of the original work, it should probably be called something like "Avalon" or "Utopia."
The above is my creative process when establishing this secondary setting.
The history from the Second Epoch to the Fifth Epoch in the *Lord of the Mysteries* world is like history shrouded in mist in the original work; after all, we cannot see any history books from that world. I can only try my best to fill in the gaps with the conditions provided.
Of course, I will inevitably overlook some details from the original work, so I welcome you to point them out, and I will consider and correct them as appropriate. However, every novel has its own rhythm and narrative arc, and I can only say I will do my best.
That is all. Thank you all for your support.
Finally, I beg you to follow the updates; I really want to make it onto the ranking list, please! [Rolls around begging]
I also hope you can contribute your votes; this will help this book get on the new book list. Thank you all!
