“Sister Ma!” Yang Meng called out to Ma Fengying.

Ma Fengying poked her head out of the room. “What is it?”

Yang Meng pointed at Long Teng. “Over at Long Teng’s side, there’s a distribution point. He’s bragging about it, but I don’t really understand the details. Call Lobster and Silly Second and go check it out together.”

Ma Fengying was surprised. “You’re not coming?”

“What would I do there? If you all think it’s suitable, make the decision. Lobster has a bank card, you can settle things anytime,” Yang Meng replied.

Long Teng frowned. “Brother Yang, aren’t you going to keep an eye on your own business?”

Yang Meng shrugged. “Why should I work so hard? I just want to be a hands-off boss and enjoy an easy life. Hey, Long Xixiang, what are you doing with my motorcycle helmet?”

Long Xixiang put the helmet on her head. “I’ve never ridden on a motorcycle before. Take me for a ride today.” With that, she moved to mount the bike.

Apparently, she had come prepared—wearing sneakers, jeans, and a lightweight down jacket, looking nothing like her usual strong, professional self.

Yang Meng glanced at her, pushed the motorcycle out of the yard, and said, “I’m not taking you for a ride!”

Long Xixiang was taken aback. “Why not?”

Yang Meng grinned mischievously. “I’m not giving you a chance to take advantage of me!”

Long Xixiang was furious. “Me, take advantage of you? What nonsense! I just want to sit on your motorcycle! Who wants to take advantage of you? I’ll just sit here and won’t touch you at all!”

“Oh?” Yang Meng looked her up and down. “You won’t touch me? Then all the more reason not to let you sit on the back! What if you go flying off and get hurt, who’d be responsible?”

Long Xixiang fumed. “How could I possibly fly off? You’re underestimating me.”

Yang Meng smirked. “Are you really sure?”

Long Xixiang nodded. “Don’t look down on me! Even though I’ve never ridden a motorcycle, I love speed. I was the city’s children’s go-kart champion five years in a row, starting when I was six.”

Yang Meng scoffed. “Heh, was that a competition your dad organized, and you were the only contestant?”

Long Xixiang stomped her foot in anger. She had always been pampered and respected—when had anyone ever spoken to her like this? Wasn’t this just infuriating?

Was she really that unappealing?

At first, she had only approached Yang Meng reluctantly because of her father’s wishes. Now, her fighting spirit was ignited—hmph! I’ll win him over and then dump him! Then I’ll see him begging for life or death over me!

With that motivation, she simply climbed onto the pillion seat of Yang Meng’s motorcycle. “Go! I don’t believe this!”

Yang Meng blinked. “You said it yourself. Long Teng, come over here!”

Long Teng was still watching the commotion from the side. Hearing Yang Meng call him, he hurried over. “Brother Yang, what is it?”

Yang Meng pointed to the back of his motorcycle. “Stand here and be ready to catch your sister at any moment.”

Long Teng blinked. “Is that really necessary?”

Long Xixiang grew even more indignant. “I’m not going to fall off!”

“Just stand where I told you!” Yang Meng mounted the motorcycle but didn’t start it right away. Instead, he pressed a button on the right handlebar, and a large menu popped up on the display. He selected the second option and took a photo with his phone.

Long Teng was curious. “Brother Yang, what are you doing?”

Securing his phone to the holder on the bike, Yang Meng replied, “I’m recording the original settings. Can’t forget this—if I do, I won’t be able to restore them later, and that’d be a real hassle.” With that, he began adjusting the motorcycle’s parameters, muttering to himself, “PWR to level two... TCS... set to level nine, SCS off... LCS off as well... Heh, I’ve been wanting to try this for a while.”

Long Teng grew even more curious. “Brother Yang, what are you up to?”

After finishing the adjustments, Yang Meng put on his helmet, activated the camera on it, and pulled down the visor. “I’m setting up the launch control parameters.”

Long Teng nodded. “Oh, I see... Wait! You’re setting up what?”

No sooner had he spoken than Yang Meng’s “Six-Eyed Demon” roared to life and shot out like an arrow from a bow. Long Xixiang, not knowing what happened, was thrown from the pillion seat. Long Teng, still processing the scene, saw his sister fly towards him and crash into him heavily. Even with his solid build, he couldn’t catch her, and the two siblings ended up sprawled on the ground. Fortunately, he served as a human cushion, or Long Xixiang would have been badly hurt.

“Miss!”

“Young Master!”

Bodyguards hidden nearby rushed out, faces tense as they looked at the two on the ground. Responsible for their safety, they were worried about having their pay docked for letting the siblings fall like this.

“Yang Meng, you bastard!” Long Xixiang scrambled up, cursing furiously, but Yang Meng was already gone. With the launch control modifications, the “Six-Eyed Demon” could hit a hundred kilometers per hour in 2.5 seconds—he was long gone!

Long Xixiang pulled off the helmet, furious enough to throw it to the ground, but after raising her arm, she hesitated and didn’t smash it. She stared blankly at the helmet in her hands, then angrily hugged it to her chest. “Hmph, I’ll keep your helmet and see how you give rides to other girls! Brother, let’s go!”

Long Teng, just helped up by the bodyguards, was startled. “Go where? Don’t tell me you want to chase after Brother Yang—who knows where he’s gone!”

Actually, Long Teng knew exactly where Yang Meng was headed: there was a Green Ox Mountain on the outskirts. Years ago, it had been a major route connecting Handong City to other places, and the city had spent a fortune building a picturesque mountain road. It was once the main road for cargo and long-distance travel.

But with the development of the city’s transport network—high-speed rail, highways, an airport—that mountain road had become obsolete, and few vehicles traveled it anymore.

Now, however, the road had become a paradise for car and motorcycle enthusiasts. Whether on four wheels or two, everyone came here to race—it was the sacred ground for “mountain runs.”

Yang Meng had said he was going for a mountain run, so nine times out of ten, that’s where he’d gone.

But Long Teng didn’t want to tell Long Xixiang. He knew his sister well—she was relentless once she set her mind to something.

When she returned from studying abroad, she’d entered the Long Group through regular interviews, but when colleagues ostracized her at work, she quietly gathered evidence of their misconduct and, six months later, revealed her identity and fired them all.

Her decisive and forceful methods had left everyone awed.

Long Teng, being a man, knew his sister’s domineering nature could easily scare off men. He definitely didn’t want her to push Yang Meng so hard that he’d run away.

He chuckled to himself—if Yang Meng and Long Xixiang got together, that’d be quite something. Would I still call him “Brother Yang”? I’d call him “brother-in-law” eight hundred times a day, and he wouldn’t dare refuse. That’d be wonderful!

But Long Xixiang just snorted coldly. “Why would I bother looking for him?”

Long Teng looked at her, confused by her unexpected response.

Long Xixiang glanced in the direction Yang Meng had disappeared, huffed, and said, “What’s so great about riding a motorcycle? I’m going to enroll in a driving school and get a Class D license.”

“What?” Long Teng gaped. “What are you planning?”

Long Xixiang sneered. “Doesn’t he like motorcycles? I’ll beat him at his own game! Without him, I can’t ride a motorcycle? Brother, I’m going to learn to ride one right now!”

Long Teng blinked. “Sis, you can’t even ride a bicycle! Are you kidding me?”

Long Xixiang pulled out her car keys. “Who says you have to know how to ride a bicycle first? Anyway, you go do your business—I’m off to sign up at a motorcycle driving school!” With that, she hopped in her car and drove off, leaving Long Teng and the bodyguards staring after her.

“Young Master, what’s the Second Miss...?” one bodyguard asked.

Long Teng slapped his forehead. “Why are you all still standing around? Split up and follow her!”

“And you, sir?” asked another bodyguard.

Long Teng shrugged. “I’m going to talk business, of course! Sister Ma! Sister Ma! Help me get in touch with Silly Second and Lobster! Let’s head to my place and settle things early.”

A bodyguard nearby asked, “Sir, shouldn’t we send someone to look for Mr. Yang?”

Long Teng waved him off. “What for? To protect him, or to have him protect you? Who’s so bored they’d want to mess with him?”

The bodyguard laughed. “You’re absolutely right, sir!”

But this time Long Teng was wrong—someone was already looking for trouble with Yang Meng.

Yang Meng was waiting at a red light when a little Japanese car behind him began honking furiously.

“What’s your problem?” Yang Meng put the kickstand down, got off his motorcycle, and approached the car.

The window rolled down, revealing a young man’s face. “Hey, buddy, why are you blocking the road on that motorcycle?”

“Blocking the road?” Yang Meng was taken aback, then understood. “Friend, take a look at my engine size. If you have questions, just call the police and ask them if I’m breaking any laws. If they say I’m parked wrong, I’ll accept the fine.”

“You...” The young man struggled for words, then said, “Fine, but this lane is for going straight and turning right. Why aren’t you in the through lane?”

Yang Meng pointed at his motorcycle. “I’m on a motorcycle; I’m supposed to keep to the right. Any other questions?”

The young man opened his mouth several times but couldn’t get any words out.

Shaking his head, Yang Meng turned to get back on his motorcycle, when a girl’s voice came from the passenger seat. “Honey, look at him, so pathetic—riding that broken motorcycle and acting all high and mighty! Why are you afraid of him? Run him over! I don’t believe his two wheels can beat your four!”
