Chapter 27
A black background appeared with the three words “Worker” written on it. Zhao Jinchu clicked in, and what greeted her eyes was a large forum where everyone was chatting about their recent work experiences.
“I can’t take it anymore, I’m never doing romance missions again, they’re so disgusting.”
“Ugh, straight men, I can’t even stand your Dragon Overlord characters, what kind of weirdos are those?”
“Wuwuwu, that old lady made me carry her across the street five hundred times, and she wouldn’t let me off. Wuwuwu, clearing the level is so hard.”
...
At the bottom of the interface, there were several buttons: [Shop] [Leaderboard] [My — Task Completion].
Zhao Jinchu clicked through them one by one, browsing briefly before returning.
Right now, what she really wanted to know was how exactly she had become one of these endless workers.
Soon, she found a beginner’s guide posted by an elder.
“Newbies, stop complaining. Usually, those chosen as endless workers are either just barely dead or about to die, with less than twenty-four hours left to live. Only then will you be selected to do these dirty, exhausting jobs.”
“Think about it carefully—isn’t that how it is?”
Many newcomers began replying:
“Yes, I’m in late-stage cancer, chemo stopped, and suddenly I became a worker.”
“Severe depression, slit my wrists, and when I opened my eyes, I ended up in hell, and I still have to work. Damn it all!”
“Wuwuwu, I’m a triplet in the second year of high school. Today, I was going to school with my two older brothers when we got hit by a car crossing the street. Yeah, all three of us got thrown. But we didn’t feel too injured, so we got up and went to school since we were almost late, a bit scared. But as soon as we stepped into the school, we ended up on a cruise ship—scared us to death. Luckily, we met some good people: a doctor who stitched my brother’s leg and a young lady who taught us how to deal with bullies, hahaha. There’s even a powerful NPC inside, terrifying.”

“Wuwuwu, so we’re actually dead. I even wanted to report this lousy company for employing child labor.”
Her gaze fixed on the last message.
She clicked the avatar.
It was a photo of three people. Zhao Jinchu immediately recognized them as Li Xiaohong, Li Xiaoming, and Li Xiaohua.
Triplets?
They didn’t look alike at all.
Zhao Jinchu considered a possibility—fraternal triplets?
She raised her eyebrows in surprise.
After scanning the forum for a while, she gained a rough understanding.
The Endless Worker Company basically recruits those who are close to death.
After all, you’re already going to die, so surviving tasks depends on luck and effort; failing means it’s your fate.
She thought about herself—why didn’t she have any symptoms at all?
Just as she was pondering, her phone buzzed with a message from Qi Yan.
Qi Yan: “Jinjin, the system in my head says I can bind with a worker and we can work together from now on.”
“Who should I bind with? So conflicted.jpg”
Zhao Jinchu wanted to laugh and replied: “Bind with whoever you want.”
No response from the other side.

Until she sent another message: “How about binding with me?”
Just as the message went through, the Xiao Mi system immediately chimed in: “Ding, received a forced binding request.”
“Red thread: once bound, it’s a lifelong bond. No matter where you are, I will find you.”
It sounded vaguely frightening.
Then, a red thread appeared on Zhao Jinchu’s hand.
Ding
System: “Ding, panel update successful. Please check promptly.”
The transparent panel before Zhao Jinchu’s eyes updated with two more pages.
The first page read:
“Intern Worker: Zhao Jinchu
Current Status
Mental Energy: 85
Physical Strength: 83
Talent Identity: Fallen Saint, S...”
