Four more days passed.

The three of them gathered once again on the deck, each growing increasingly impatient.

The young man was the first to break down. “Damn it, how on earth do you make the perfect ratio of soil? What are we missing?”

Lijuan ignored him and turned to Zhao Meila. “Have you found anything?”

Zhao Meila, leaning against the railing with a glass of champagne in hand, replied calmly, “I’ve been keeping an eye on that man in the banquet hall these past few days.”

“The banquet hall?”

“Which one?”

“Oh, you mean the one who caused the commotion a few days ago, the one everyone fought over? Why are you paying attention to him? Have you met him?”

Zhao Meila shook her head. “No.”

“On the second day, someone brought him a diamond ring, and he told them to eat it.”

The young man scoffed.

Zhao Meila continued, “Then that person actually ate the diamond ring on the spot.”

The young man was stunned for a moment, then muttered, “Is he crazy?”

“Yesterday, on the third day, there was another big fight in the banquet hall on the fourth floor. Yes, it was because of him again. The disturbance was so severe that security sealed off the banquet hall. I heard someone went mad trying to imprison him and got caught. The reason? Three others had the same idea and, jealous that someone else was ahead of them, they lost their minds and started fighting. The noise got so loud it drew the attention of security.”

The two listened in shock, each stunned by the tale.

Zhao Meila seemed to expect their reaction, folding her arms. “Today is the fourth day. I heard from one of the security guards that he went back to that banquet hall. Aren’t you curious to see for yourselves?”

The young man frowned. “Wait, wasn’t the banquet hall sealed off?”

Zhao Meila shrugged. “They lifted the ban for him.”

“So we can go in? Perfect, let’s check out what’s inside.”

“No, only VIPs are allowed. We can’t get in.”

Hearing this, the young man cursed again. “Damn it, I’m going to see what this guy really is today.”

After Zhao Meila’s account, their curiosity about this troublemaker suddenly outweighed their focus on the mission.

Zhao Meila added, “I don’t think the game would casually throw in an unimportant character who causes such a huge stir. I suspect he carries a clue—very possibly a decisive one.”

Lijuan said nothing but suddenly remembered something. “There’s another possibility.”

The NPC that the system had previously warned about.

The three exchanged glances, all understanding.

A dark gleam flickered in Zhao Meila’s eyes. She lowered her eyelids, harboring a secret thought.

She suspected that this man might be the same person she had encountered that night in the corridor.

If that were true... Zhao Meila clenched her champagne glass and smiled softly.

On the second floor, in the restaurant.

Zhao Jinchu and Qin Chuan sat in a corner, ordering food.

It was Monday, and golden caviar was free.

At first, the waiter refused, saying the restaurant didn’t offer such a discount.

Zhao Jinchu pulled out the price list and showed it. The waiter looked annoyed but relented. “Alright, alright, I’ll give each of you a serving of golden caviar.”

After the waiter left, Qin Chuan remarked, “That waiter seemed really happy when we ordered caviar.”

Zhao Jinchu agreed. It wasn’t as good as Qi Yan’s acting, though.

Thinking of Qi Yan, Zhao Jinchu grew a little worried.

He hadn’t returned for four days—where had he gone?

At that moment, the restaurant’s loudspeaker broadcasted: “All security on the second and third floors, please proceed to the fourth-floor banquet hall to maintain order. The gentlemen and ladies inside are fighting again.”

The announcement repeated three times.

Qin Chuan glanced around the restaurant. “It’s mealtime, but there aren’t many people here.”

They were the only table in the whole restaurant.
