Chapter 111: Everyone’s Opinions on Lu Zhe

The white figure ignored the words of the man in white, glanced back at him, then looked again at the crimson pillar of energy now looming just within reach. With a swift turn, he reached out and grabbed the man in white, then vanished into thin air like a phantom.
Less than a moment after the two disappeared, the red energy pillar struck, roaring through the air as it slammed into the cave wall. Moments later, it had blasted a deep, bottomless chasm into the rock face.
At a spot several dozen yards away from Lu Zhe—the very place where everyone was standing—two figures suddenly materialized. Upon closer inspection, it was clear they were the same two who had vanished moments before.
“Hmph, quite a sorry sight, Roya,” said a handsome man in his thirties, smiling as he looked down at the man in white, who was panting on the ground.
The man called Roya was the very same who had just fought Lu Zhe.
Roya looked up at the smiling man beside him and snorted, somewhat displeased. “Busybody.”
“You don’t even say thanks after I saved you, and now you’re blaming me? You’re making me feel like I’m fooling myself,” the man who had just rescued him said helplessly.
Rising from the ground, Roya cast a sidelong glance at the man who’d saved him and said disdainfully, “No one asked you to save me.”
“You…” The rescuer was momentarily at a loss for words.
“Alright, alright, have you two had enough? You’ve been arguing since you joined the sect and haven’t stopped since. If you’re not tired of it, we certainly are,” a man in his forties interjected hurriedly, trying to smooth over the stalemate.
Roya snorted lightly but ignored him, striding off to the left.
“Look at how arrogant he is. Third Senior Brother, why don’t you say something to him?” the man who had saved him complained to the one who had just tried to mediate.

“Alright, alright, Zhuo Feng, don’t say anymore. After all, he is your senior brother. Calling him by name like that is already disrespectful,” the middle-aged man said calmly as he pressed down on the handsome man’s hand.
“Hmph, he’s only been in the sect a month longer than me. What’s so great about that? In terms of strength, he’s not even as good as I am,” Zhuo Feng said with disdain.
“You’d better stop talking. You know your sixth senior brother was deeply affected by the death of the fourth. You should be more considerate of him,” said the man called Third Senior Brother, patting Zhuo Feng on the shoulder with a hint of sadness.
“Hmm.” Zhuo Feng nodded in agreement after hearing the middle-aged man’s words. Then, suddenly recalling something, he whispered, “Third Senior Brother, how do you think the Fourth Senior Brother died so suddenly? With his skills, even if he couldn’t defeat the enemy, he should have been able to escape. How could his body be completely gone without a trace?”
The middle-aged man nodded thoughtfully. “Yes, I also find it strange. If we hadn’t found the badge he wore, we wouldn’t even know he met with misfortune. The Fourth Senior Brother’s water attribute spirit power is unmatched among us brothers. Plus, he was a five-star Spirit King expert. Few could defeat him in a place like this. Even if the enemy was stronger, there should be signs of a fierce battle, but after thoroughly examining the scene, I found no evidence of a struggle. Unless… it was a one-hit kill.”
“A one-hit kill?” Zhuo Feng was slightly shocked. “To kill a five-star Spirit King expert in a single blow… what level would that be? Spirit Emperor? Spirit Monarch? Or…” He turned and pointed at Lu Zhe, who was looking down, seemingly lost in thought. “Him?”
The middle-aged man turned to look at Lu Zhe, furrowing his brows. A cold light flashed briefly in his eyes. “If it really is him, then he must die—to offer tribute to the spirit of the Fourth Senior Brother.”
At this moment, Lu Zhe, after unleashing the astonishing “Beast King’s Wrath,” was still bowing his head, seemingly indifferent, as if unaware of what he was doing.
Watching Lu Zhe, the man called Third Senior Brother took a deep breath of the hot air, his eyes shining with determination. “This time, we strike first.” Then he pointed at the two holding jars nearby. “You two stay here to guard the Extreme Mountain Fire Sunflower, along with Ninth Senior Brother and Brother Lei Hu. The rest of us—Fifth, Seventh, Eighth, and I—will confront him. Remember, if we encounter trouble, do not fight him head-on. Quickly take Ninth Senior Brother and Brother Lei Hu and retreat to the sect. This is crucial!”
As he finished making arrangements, Roya’s voice came from behind: “Third Senior Brother, I want to fight alongside you.”
The man called Third Senior Brother turned and looked at Roya calmly. “You want to fight in your current condition? Don’t push yourself. Rest well.”
“That’s right, just stay here and watch so you don’t become a burden,” Zhuo Feng quickly added.

Roya glared at Zhuo Feng, then sighed deeply. Though unwilling, he knew he had no choice. He was truly unable to fight now. If he faced Lu Zhe again, he’d only drag everyone down. At least he had that much self-awareness.
“Thank you, Third Senior Brother,” Roya said, bowing to the man in his forties, then slowly stepped back and sat cross-legged on the ground to start healing.
“No need to trouble Third Senior Brother to take the field. Fifth Senior Brother and I can handle this,” Zhuo Feng stepped forward confidently, looking at Lu Zhe in the distance.
The middle-aged man beside him smiled bitterly. “You’re still so reckless. Didn’t you see? Sixth Senior Brother was injured so badly by him. With your speed-based wind attribute spirit power, you think you can defeat him? That’s just wishful thinking.”
“Senior Brother, what’s your plan?” a man about thirty-five or thirty-six years old stepped forward to ask.
The middle-aged man frowned deeply, his eyes serious as he scrutinized Lu Zhe from afar but said nothing. After a moment, he took a deep breath and turned to the man behind him. “Fifth Senior Brother, use your ice attribute spirit power to seal his limbs as much as possible.” Then, looking at Zhuo Feng, he said, “Zhuo Feng, assist Fifth Senior Brother. If he fails, immediately retreat with him. Do not linger in battle.”
“Understood,” Zhuo Feng nodded. Then he suddenly asked, “But Third Senior Brother, what about you?”
The middle-aged man drew in a deep breath, his expression grave. “You two must stall him to buy me some time.”
Hearing this, the two men behind him raised their eyebrows in surprise. After a moment, the sturdier man spoke uncertainly, “Senior Brother, are you…?”
“I will use the ‘Spear of Shattered Lightning’ against him!” the middle-aged man said solemnly, taking another deep breath.
