Baili owes everyone an explanation.
Since there was no update on June 16th, I feel it's absolutely necessary to offer an explanation here, to prevent any misunderstandings or wavering of your trust in me.
In the early hours of June 15th, I did post an update. On the 16th, I had already written part of the next chapter, but before I could upload it, my computer broke down. Initially, I planned to finish the chapter at an internet cafe, but on the way there, I came across a computer repair shop. I thought it would be better to just get the computer fixed, so I gave up on the internet cafe idea.
The repair took until 11 p.m. on the 16th.
Afterwards, I had to reinstall the operating system, download applications, and install various security essentials. I kept downloading and setting up everything until about 2 a.m., when things were finally more or less in order.
From 2 a.m. on the 17th, I started writing and worked straight through to 6 a.m., managing to finish the incomplete chapter.
1. The novel is still being written as usual. Though updates have slowed down a bit, I am far from being unable to write.
2. It’s not that I didn’t want to notify everyone. I fully intended to let you all know, but simply had no way to get online. I definitely wasn’t idly disappearing.
Recently, I haven’t been in the best state and have felt a bit ashamed to face all my readers. Here, I’d like to clarify the circumstances under which this book might be abandoned—if it ever happens, the only reason would be a complete loss of subscriptions, meaning I would lose my livelihood. Only then would I possibly have to give it up.
However, subscriptions for this book are going strong, as can be seen from the various rankings. There are recommendations from Qidian, and the support from readers like you. So, for the foreseeable future, there is no chance of this book being abandoned.
As long as subscriptions are stable,
I have absolutely no reason to stop updating a book that provides for my living, nor would I ever bring unnecessary trouble upon myself. After all, I plan to be part of the Qidian author community for a long time to come.
Now that I've explained everything, I’ll add that recent updates have indeed been somewhat slow, but I will do my best to get back on track. While maintaining quality, I’ll work hard to speed up the updates, to repay the great kindness and support from all of you.
"A City’s Strategy in the Online Game Three Kingdoms"—this is my explanation to everyone. Please wait a moment while I finish typing the next part. Once the content is updated, please refresh the page to get the latest chapter!
