There have been many technical posts from everyone, making it somewhat inconvenient for communication. Here, Baili is using a dedicated thread for everyone to give suggestions, speak up, and exchange opinions. No matter beginner or advanced, any skill suitable for online games or the Three Kingdoms is welcome.
For example, life skills, equipment crafting skills, NPC skills, player skills...

I’ll start with “Shield Bash”, let’s get detailed.
Shield Bash: Attack enemies with a shield, dealing damage and damaging the shield itself, with a certain chance to stun.
How to learn? As I wrote in the character post, set up Shield Guards in Dragon City, shields covered in spikes, like a porcupine.
Requirement: “Strength”
4th Floor, [Gazing at the World], posted 2008-2-4 2:20:11
Butcher’s Art
Besides collecting animal bodies, hidden effect:
Understand the weaknesses and flaws of living creatures, increasing effectiveness when attacking them.
5th Floor, [Gazing at the World], posted 2008-2-4 2:22:55
Shield Mastery
Masterful use of the shield, exuding an aura of “with a shield in hand, I roam the world.”
Defensive block chance significantly increases, shield attack power greatly enhanced.
6th Floor, [Gazing at the World], posted 2008-2-4 2:34:59
Troop Types
Shield Bearer:
Shields covered in spikes, thick and sturdy. Wears heavy armor, can transfer to the warrior’s “Shield Guard” class, shield is both weapon and defense.
Requirements: Shield Bash, Shield Charge, Shield Mastery, Strength 14+
Shield Striker:
Shield has spikes and razor-sharp edges, can wear medium or leather armor, elite level.
Requirements: Shield Bash, Shield Mastery, Strength 13, Intelligence (approximate, I’m not sure)
Shield Warrior:
Carries a weapon in addition to a spiked shield (one of the minor characters uses a sword, just right). While not as skilled as Shield Guards in bash attacks, they are more agile and adept at positioning.
Requirements: Shield Bash, Shield Mastery, Basic Weapon Skill (e.g., Basic Swordsmanship), Footwork, Strength 12
Shield Dancer:
No longer heavy shields, but light shields with exposed edges, evading and attacking with dance-like footwork, slippery as an eel (useless in large-scale battles).
Requirements: Shield Bash, Shield Mastery, Footwork
7th Floor, [Gazing at the World], posted 2008-2-4 2:36:24
Footwork (Martial Steps)
Steps and movements used to dodge attacks and create openings for counterattack—a profound art.
8th Floor, [Gazing at the World], posted 2008-2-4 2:38:05
Shield Charge
As the name suggests, raise the shield and charge forward—if wielded by a Shield Guard with a heavy spiked shield, it’s comparable to a heavy cavalry charge among infantry (if there are traps, it’d be tragic).
9th Floor, [Gazing at the World], posted 2008-2-4 2:43:04
Also, this is a skill thread, not a technical thread ~~~~ how regrettable
Keen Eyes and Quick Hands
Passive skill, one that every class desires.
Increases visual range, improves observation, accelerates arm reflexes, and enhances hand speed.

Currently, I’m not clear about the character attributes in the game. For example, do NPC luminaries like Zhuge Liang, Guo Jia, Zhou Yu, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun have unique attributes? How are they different from player attributes? It’s hard to discuss skills without knowing the attribute system. If it’s similar to Romance of the Three Kingdoms with intelligence and politics, you can refer to those games’ skills. If it’s like regular online games, then skills take another direction.

Group Defense to block cavalry charges? Who is that formidable? And what kind of cavalry are they blocking? Light or heavy, lancers or sabers? Who could possibly block a heavy cavalry charge with a big shield? If it worked so well, ancient people would have been fools!
Why were spearmen so common in antiquity? Because a spear phalanx counters cavalry charges, shields are for blocking infantry, maybe light cavalry at best, but heavy cavalry would smash the line. If you have enough men for a multi-layered shield wall, you might as well use a spear formation for greater deterrence.
Or use heavy spiked shields; that might work against infantry and light cavalry, but heavy cavalry would still break through—maybe the shield survives, but the bearer would be trampled to death.

Also, as for Soaring Over Grass, if the book is more realistic, it should be classified under leg techniques and footwork rather than as a “lightness” skill—and 80% speed boost is way too high; 10% is more reasonable.
One Slash, Two Severed:
Generally a blade technique, but also usable with greatswords; a forceful downward or sweeping chop, increasing damage by 20–50%, and a certain chance for an instant kill.
Requirement: Strength, and a weapon suitable for slashes and sweeps.
Sweeping Across the Eight Directions:
A long weapon technique, a powerful horizontal sweep that can knock back and injure enemies—commonly used as a lifesaving move during melee.
Requirement: Strength, long weapon.
Dragon’s Tail Reversal:
An advanced martial skill, impossible to learn without extensive combat experience, lightning reflexes, and great agility and technique. Usable by all weapon classes, passive, with a chance to block an attack and instantly counter, dealing (enemy’s attack + own attack) * 1.5 damage. Mastery makes one nearly invincible.
Restriction: Cannot counter certain weapons, such as chains or shields.

Archery... add poison... and a continuous bleeding effect... or a special poison brewed by the protagonist that prevents any healing no matter what is consumed (great for killing enemy generals)—but ingredients are rare and only one NPC in the protagonist’s village knows it. Add unwavering loyalty and it’s perfect.

Luminary (Skills): Poetry/Books/Rites/Music/Archery/Horsemanship, all six.
General: Poetry and Books—at low levels, “The Four Books and Five Classics” (location is broad, at high levels can specify “The Analects”, “Book of Songs”, etc.), effect is to improve favorability with NPCs (including luminaries), making it easier to win their allegiance.
Specifically, composing praise poems... such as Tang poetry...
Some classics in the Book of Songs are songs themselves (if you meet Li Shishi, recite “Guan! Guan! Cry the Ospreys”—just for laughs!)
Music, for toasts and lyrics. Much overlap as above.
For specifics, consult Baidu and use your imagination. Hehe...

Opportunistic Slash
When swinging a weapon, the angle is adjusted to let the weapon graze the enemy’s throat or other vital points—a certain chance for an instant kill, and if not, causes continuous bleeding (great for mowing down grunts, less effective on generals).
Requirement: Only speed and technical players can learn; requires a sharp weapon (spear tip, sword point, etc.)
The action involves glancing blows during a weapon’s rotation, not stabbing or decapitation—a top-level technique.
Character martial skill: Zhao Yun

With weapons settled, next should be armor! The simplest armor is leather—remove the inner layer from rawhide, fold and hammer it together for decent material.
A note: Most ancient soldiers were equipped with long weapons; swordsmen as main infantry was pre-Qin. After Han, infantry mostly carried spears and halberds (cheaper and more abundant than short weapons), or ring-hilted sabers with shields. Swords were rarely used, mainly by officials, officers, and a few cavalry (most cavalry preferred ring-hilted sabers).

Icy Moon Dance of Death: Blade skill, the blade like a crescent moon, swirling in a group attack.
Cold Star Lethal Thrust: Spear skill, spear tip like a cold star, thrusting swiftly for single-target attack.

Troop types don’t need to be fancy—just swordsmen, cavalry, archers, spearmen, each countering another.
But cavalry has unmatched mobility and attack. Spearmen need numbers to counter cavalry, and can only do so passively.
Additionally, the same troop types from different regions have varying abilities, like Xiliang troops are hardy, have more HP, and greater strength; Qingzhou troops’ morale drops less easily; Jingzhou troops have “naval combat” skill.
There are also special units, like Roman heavy infantry (Gao Shun’s “Camp Crushers” are basically this), southwestern rattan-armored troops and elephant soldiers, northeastern White Horse Cavalry, Silla swordsmen, southeastern Yamato warriors and ninjas, Tujue cavalry, Zhuge’s crossbowmen—all can be included.

Better not add mythical elements—keep skills realistic. Too much fantasy is boring... Late game should focus on player battles, avoid excessive “YY”.

The most realistic system is no skills, only basic techniques with advanced stages. For example, spear thrust, which after advancement becomes spiral thrust, lunge, or another form. The Three Kingdoms era was an age of strength and skill, so fancy moves and names are unnecessary. Have you ever heard of any general in “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” using named moves?

Formation Attack Effect:
Base attack is multiplied by [formation level integrity (basic 50%, intermediate 60%, advanced 70%, master 80%) + general’s formation integrity (intelligence value divided by 3, times 1%) + general’s strength value divided by 3, times 1%], and the result is then multiplied by (100% + formation attack bonus) for the final value.
Example: Player A’s intelligence: 36, strength: 81, leading phalanx (attack bonus 15%), formation level advanced, soldier attack power 20.
So after formation, each soldier’s attack is: 20 * (70% + 12% + 27%) * (100% + 15%) = 25.07
Also, morale and loyalty affect attack speed bonuses.

Three quick ways to train troops for immediate effect:
1. Team Management: Manage in a pyramid structure, soldiers know their general, generals know their soldiers.
2. Formation: Simple formations play key roles in battle.
3. Command System: Knowing when to advance or retreat is crucial; in ancient times, drumbeats signaled advance, gongs signaled retreat.
