“Don’t you like me anymore?” Xu Qian suddenly blurted out.

Her words exploded like a bomb, instantly igniting the entire classroom.

“What’s going on? Lin Qianfan likes Xu Qian?”

“Wow, this is interesting.”

Whispers and murmurs rose around them, but Lin Qianfan merely sneered coldly.

He stood up and looked Xu Qian straight in the eye. “Have I ever liked you?”

“Xu Qian, don’t flatter yourself. The reason I treated you well back then was because I mistook you for someone else.”

“Now, I’m simply correcting my mistake.”

At these words, Xu Qian’s face darkened horribly.

“What do you mean?” she almost shouted. “Mistook me for someone else? What do you take me for?”

“Lin Qianfan, you scoundrel!”

“Fickle and ungrateful! Always chasing after the new and discarding the old!”

“You’ll regret treating me this way someday!”

She grew more and more agitated, even pulling a few girls in to join her in condemning Lin Qianfan.

“Exactly! Lin Qianfan, this is too much!”

“Xu Qian was so good to you, and now you’ve turned your back on her for Xia Ruo?”

“Such an ungrateful wretch!”

Lin Qianfan looked at them as if they were nothing but a bunch of clowns.

He neither refuted nor explained, just stared coldly, letting them rant endlessly.

More and more classmates gathered to watch, some even taking out their phones to record videos.

Seeing this, Xu Qian redoubled her efforts in accusation, playing the victim to the hilt.

“Lin Qianfan, a person like you doesn’t deserve friends!”

“I was blind before, thinking you had some redeeming qualities!”

“But now I see you’re a thoroughly despicable man!”

Lin Qianfan stood still, glanced down at her once, and finally had enough.

“Xu Qian, do you know what disgusts me the most about you?”

Though his voice was low, it quieted the noisy classroom considerably.

“You’ve been playing the victim from start to finish—lying, feigning innocence, sowing discord, and treating others like fools.”

Xu Qian was stunned by this accusation and reflexively retorted, “Lin Qianfan, stop slandering me! What lies have I told?”

Lin Qianfan fixed her with a cold smile.

“Then tell me, was the vote for me in the high school class committee election cast by you?”

Xu Qian’s expression froze.

She opened her mouth as if to explain but could only grit her teeth and nod.

“That was me! Lin Qianfan, I cast that vote for you, and instead of being grateful, you question me here?”

Lin Qianfan snorted coldly. “Xu Qian, I was grateful to you.”

“So grateful that because of that vote, I put you on a pedestal and obeyed you blindly.”

“But unfortunately—”

He dragged out the last word, staring at her intently.

“I found out that vote wasn’t written by you at all.”

Xu Qian’s face flushed deeply.

She stepped forward abruptly, voice tense, “Lin Qianfan, don’t wrong an innocent person!”

Lin Qianfan didn’t rush to respond. Instead, he took a workbook from his bag.

“Xu Qian, if that ballot was written by you, then the handwriting should be yours, right?”

Her face paled noticeably but she still tried to maintain her composure.

“Lin Qianfan, what are you implying?”

“Are you deliberately stirring trouble? You just can’t accept that I don’t like you, so you want to ruin my reputation?”

Lin Qianfan chuckled sarcastically.

“Only you know if you’re stirring trouble.”

“Since you’re so confident, let’s settle this now.”

“Write a few words in the blank space on this paper.”

Xu Qian hesitated, her hands clenched tightly in her pockets. Under the skeptical jeers of the crowd, she reluctantly took a pen and scribbled a few characters.

Lin Qianfan turned and walked to Xia Ruo’s desk, picking up her workbook.

“Xia Ruo, may I borrow this for a moment?”

Before Xia Ruo could react, the workbook was already in his hands.

He returned to Xu Qian and held up the workbook for all to see.

The surrounding classmates craned their necks, staring at the pages.

“This is Xia Ruo’s handwriting—delicate, neat, and imbued with a certain spirit.”

“And yours—” he shifted his tone and pointed at Xu Qian.

“Ugly like a chicken’s claw scratch, devoid of any spirit, filled with bitterness.”

“Is this the handwriting on the old ballot? Are you sure it was you who wrote it?”

Xu Qian’s expression changed completely. She wanted to argue but no words came out.

“Xu Qian, the ballot wasn’t written by you.”

“That ballot was written by Xia Ruo.”

The classmates finally snapped back to reality, whispering among themselves.

Xu Qian’s face flushed bright red, as if her mask had been violently torn away.

She stepped forward sharply, pointing at Lin Qianfan with a shrill voice.

“Nonsense! Lin Qianfan, on what grounds do you say it was Xia Ruo who wrote it?”

“If I’m not mistaken, the handwriting on the ballot looks like this.”

Saying so, he pulled another ballot from his bag, opened it to reveal elegant and tidy handwriting.

“This is Xia Ruo’s handwriting.”

“Everyone, compare it—isn’t it identical to the old ballot?”

He held both workbooks high for everyone to see clearly.

The surrounding students erupted in a commotion, buzzing with speculation.

“Damn, Xu Qian actually lied!”

“Lin Qianfan was so good to her, and she’s just a liar!”

“So Xia Ruo was the one who voted? Then Lin Qianfan was just being played by Xu Qian all along?”

Hearing these murmurs, Xu Qian’s face turned pale, her voice trembling with tears.

“Lin Qianfan, you just want to ruin me because I don’t like you!”

“Don’t you think what you’re doing is too cruel?”

Her words only fueled the growing uproar around her.

“Well, this place sure got lively.”

Just as Lin Qianfan was about to speak, a voice came from the classroom doorway, and a burly boy walked in.

“Qianfan, what’s going on? Who’s causing you trouble?”

Lin Qianfan looked up and couldn’t help but smile. “Yong Pan?”

The newcomer was his dorm mate, Yong Pan.

Lin Qianfan recalled how, in his past life, when he was infatuated with Xu Qian, Yong Pan had warned him countless times.

He said Xu Qian was petty, manipulative, and advised him to keep his distance.

At the time, Lin Qianfan hadn’t listened, even quarreled with Yong Pan and moved out of the dorm.

Thinking back, Lin Qianfan felt a tangle of emotions.

This time, after rebirth, he vowed to cherish his good brother.

“Oh, I was wondering who it was.”

Yong Pan strode into the classroom, gave Xu Qian a once-over, and sneered.

“Qianfan, it’s not worth falling out with us over a woman like her.”

Xu Qian’s face burned with shame. Gritting her teeth, she glared at Yong Pan but dared not utter a word.

Yong Pan scanned the classroom one last time before turning to Lin Qianfan.

“Alright, enough nonsense. Get rid of people like her quickly.”
