Soon, Su Yiming came out carrying two servings of omurice. His unreliable parents had forced him to become independent at a very young age, enabling him to take good care of himself as he grew up—and surprisingly, he was quite skilled in the kitchen.
At that moment, Tomie was curled up on the sofa, flipping through TV programs. Her quiet and obedient demeanor made Su Yiming glance at her sideways with curiosity.
Tsuji Tomie’s appearance was truly exceptional—her exquisite beauty seemed almost otherworldly, radiating an irresistible charm that captivated anyone who looked at her.
At least Su Yiming thought she was far more beautiful than any current celebrity. With such a face, it was no wonder Tomie’s personality was so spoiled and arrogant. Beauty often breeds indulgence.
“Hey, Teacher Su, what are you thinking about?” Tomie toyed with her omurice, playfully watching the distracted Su Yiming. Snapping back to reality, Su Yiming felt a bit embarrassed. “Sorry.”
Tomie raised her chin generously. “Were you staring at me in a daze? It’s okay.” She quite enjoyed when others’ gazes lingered on her.
Su Yiming frowned, feeling uneasy as he looked at Tomie’s indifferent, even slightly smug expression. “Tsuji, don’t you hate those people’s eyes on you?”
Tomie tilted her head. “Hate? Why? People’s eyes are naturally drawn to me. Isn’t that normal? They look at me, then fall in love with me.”
“Could it be that Teacher Su has already fallen for me?” Tsuji Tomie propped her chin on her hand, grinning mischievously. The boy’s delicate face seemed to glow with an ethereal light.
Su Yiming fell silent. Tomie was definitely not normal. The boy gave off the vibe of someone well-versed in romance and thoroughly enjoying the game, with Su Yiming as his next target.
His mouth twitched. “No, just… as long as you don’t mind.”
Tomie took a bite of her omurice, then frowned and dropped the spoon, refusing to eat any more. Su Yiming pretended not to notice; he wasn’t about to lose his temper at someone who radiated such unsettling energy.
“I’m full. Teacher Su, you can eat slowly. I’m heading out.” The boy stood and walked to the entrance, still in his pajamas with no intention of changing.
But Tomie wouldn’t leave himself empty-handed—he took Su Yiming’s wallet from the cabinet, pulled out some cash, removed the house keys from the keychain and put them in his pocket, then grabbed Su Yiming’s jacket from the hanger and draped it over himself.
As he stepped out the door, Tomie slightly turned to look at Su Yiming, a faint smile playing on his lips. “I’m going out to buy clothes. Teacher Su, there’s nothing at home that fits me—so shabby.”

With the sound of the door closing, Tsuji Tomie left. It felt as if this place was his home and Su Yiming his cohabitant, while he was just out shopping as usual.
Tomie didn’t return all night—the mysterious, eerie boy vanished like mist, disappearing and reappearing without warning.
The next day, Su Yiming went to the police station. He once again confirmed with the officers that Tsuji Tomie was dead. Officer Heda looked at him as if he were insane.
“You say you saw Tsuji? How is that possible? He was brutally murdered and dismembered. If you’re not afraid, I can show you photos from the crime scene.”
Heda led Su Yiming into an office and handed him photos from the scene that day.
The boy’s head had been cruelly severed, his beautiful face slashed beyond recognition, blood staining his pale skin. Only his large, eerie eyes remained wide open, bloodshot. The gruesome, bloody image made Su Yiming nauseous.
His face turned pale. It was unmistakable—exactly the same, including the beauty mark beneath the corner of the eye. This was Tsuji Tomie.
“Kid, I understand how you feel. After all, this happened so close to you. If it’s too much, maybe see a doctor or try to relax a bit.”
Officer Heda comforted him, patting his shoulder. “Don’t blame yourself for not saving him. We’re all just ordinary people. In today’s world, just surviving peacefully is difficult enough.”
Su Yiming nodded faintly, dazed, and walked out of the station. The daylight sunlight fell on him, but brought no warmth.
A familiar figure waited outside the station. The boy wore a neat outfit, holding a parasol, his dark eyes meaningfully fixed on Su Yiming, a smile playing at his lips. “I came to pick you up, old man.”
Though he didn’t understand why, Tsuji Tomie had come back from the dead. There were mysterious forces in this world beyond his comprehension.
The boy naturally linked arms with Su Yiming, whose face was pale and eyes filled with caution.
Officer Heda, who had seen Su Yiming off, took the opportunity to say, “You’re a junior relative of Teacher Su, right? Take good care of him these days. This incident was quite a shock for him.”
Tomie stopped walking, slightly moving aside his parasol to look at Officer Heda. The beauty mark at his eye corner caught the eye. “I will. Also, officer, I’m not just a relative—I’m his boyfriend.”

The boy beamed proudly. “We’re very much in love, so don’t bother us, okay? We’re going back to our shared home now. Goodbye.”
Officer Heda was momentarily stunned, watching the intimate pair leave, muttering to himself, “That boy… looks familiar.”
Lost in thought, Su Yiming returned home. Tomie naturally changed his shoes and put away the parasol. “Let’s go out for dinner tonight. There’s a place I’ve wanted to try but never got the chance. How about it, old man?”
With that, the boy affectionately leaned close to Su Yiming. Suddenly snapping back to reality, Su Yiming pushed Tomie away with a troubled expression and leaned against the wall. “Who exactly are you?”
“You should be dead already. Why are you clinging to me?”
Tomie bumped into the wall, groaning softly in pain. “You hurt me! So rough!”
“Enough with that—what’s your real purpose?” Su Yiming grabbed the umbrella by the door, eyes wary as he watched Tomie rub his neck. He needed to be ready toI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
