That evening, at the New Century Grand Hotel.
Lian Shuyue had deliberately dressed in a pure-white professional skirt suit, her hair falling loosely down her back and lending her an air of refined elegance.
Lian Shuyue stood at the hotel entrance, waiting for Zhang Weimin so they could go inside together.
Just then, a Pajero SUV came roaring toward them in a cloud of dust. It did not brake until it reached the hotel entrance, where it slammed to a halt, its tires scraping against the ground with a shrill screech.
Four young men leapt from the vehicle. The one in front wore a flowered shirt, his hair slicked back with oil, and a pair of dark sunglasses perched on his face. He looked thoroughly insolent and utterly full of himself.
The four of them walked toward the entrance and were about to enter the hotel when one of them spotted Lian Shuyue waiting for Zhang Weimin. A lecherous expression spread across his face...
“How could that be? Did I ever worship you? Surely I only ever had a blind hatred for the people I liked?”
Yun Zhaozhao smiled sweetly.
Yang Yongxin did not dare delay. He immediately returned to the room, first chaining the lecher to a pillar, then beginning the first lesson in slave training—indoctrination into the slave mentality.
Zhou Chaoyang hurried over to help, carrying a gravely wounded cultivator of the Awakening World realm back into the Hanging Tavern.
Though he occasionally missed his father terribly, more often than not he lost himself amid the beautiful sights of the mortal world, immersed in passionate intimacy with Kui Mulang and forgetting everything else.
Cheng Miao, who had been hanging his head in utter dejection, suddenly looked up, as though he had seized the last straw that might save his life.
Cheng Miao searched through his Sumeru Ring. It was empty once more, containing nothing but the oval seed and the black greatsword.
Now that Hengxing had pulled through and Gu Yeheng had become its sect master, why had she come running back to put on airs?
In truth, which sect was truly spotless? This was merely simple propaganda—the means by which those in power deceived the ignorant masses at the bottom, giving them a sense of belonging, honor, and identification.
As he spoke, he picked up a large mouthful of food and stuffed it into his mouth. Then, with an expression as though he were sacrificing himself, he swallowed it.

The direction in which Zhou Xunyu was located was the same direction from which the Hidden Guest had first fled. A squad of Swordbearer Guards beside Zhou Xunyu immediately pursued him.
When he reached Sister Feng’s house, he saw Duoduo just about to leave. The moment she saw Chen Fei, she became especially happy and directly linked her arm through his.
Dongfang Yuyan nodded. She agreed with that assessment. From their life together, she could tell that Xia Qianrou and Qin Chenfang took immaculate care of Zhuo Nan.
With a ringing sound, the Divine Heavenly Sword leapt from its sheath. Ye Qinghua lightly exhaled a breath of stale air and sprang out of the room.
The ground within the light curtain had already turned blood-red. A terrifying force of suction surged forth, and all those who entered seemed to have their feet fixed to the earth. Those lacking sufficient strength were dragged flat onto the ground, almost as though they were about to melt into it.
“You’re the one who’s about to transform! Your whole family is going to transform!” Turning around and seeing a black-clad disciple appear at the entrance of the main hall, Duan Yan could not help but blurt out the insult.
“There you have it—it lies far away at the edge of the world, not close at hand. Your Third Brother is precisely that person!” Perfected Scarlet Sun spoke in a strange tone.
“Hey, Chen Haoran, don’t talk to us like the boss does. I really can’t understand why the boss put you in charge of the Seven Paths—and trusted you so completely.”
The man sitting in the very front row was displeased by the young man’s words and wore an indignant expression.
Mo Shi nodded lightly and leapt toward Yao Qian. The moment the two battle formations unfolded, the sheer scale of their confrontation overshadowed every other battle. Those nearby could not help marveling at the overwhelming force of a battle between beings of the Anomalous Venerable level.
The old man took the ring and examined it carefully for a while before finally nodding. He glanced at the four swords, and at once they withdrew. Several sounds of wind swept past, and the four swords vanished without a trace.
Puyu Zi was more than twenty years old, roughly the same age as Qingxin Yu and Le Zhengxie, yet he had never heard of Ghost Spirit Mountain. Could there be some unknown secret hidden within all this?
The journey passed without danger, and they arrived safely at the Guest-Entertaining Tea House. Treasure Basin left a single word—“Damn”—behind him before turning and entering through the door.
The blood of the Eighteen-Winged Angel seeped into the ground. Its corpse was torn apart by sword qi, transforming into scarlet energy that was absorbed by the foundation of the Zhou-Heaven Subduing-God Formation. The sword qi within the formation gained a trace of bloody, baleful energy, becoming even sharper and more ferocious.
Tartarus was a primordial god born from fragments of chaos, while Loki and Hela were already gods of the second and third generations respectively. Moreover, the Endless Abyss was Tartarus himself. Within that domain, even countless Titans and the second-generation Olympian chief gods could be suppressed, to say nothing of Loki and the others.
Li Jian answered cleverly, “Imperial Father, it is true that Royal Brother sprained his hand while striking Zhou Xuan.”
His words only confirmed the final statement Zhou Xuan had made. Yet to Li, they naturally sounded as though Zhou Xuan’s leg had also been injured by King Jing’s subordinates.

Marriage in the countryside was not as strictly regulated as it was among wealthy families. Meeting once before the engagement, accompanied by relatives, was perfectly acceptable.
The only feasible method now was to keep walking in one direction and worry about getting out of the forest afterward. It was said that people could easily circle back to where they had started when traveling through a forest, so Feng Xiaoxiao drew a mark on a tree every few steps to prevent that from happening.
She tilted her head and thought for a moment, then smiled and said that if Ake also made him fall flat on his face and shout three times in the street, “I am a lecher,” she would let him go. In truth, her demands were not excessive at all.
“Old fraud, even if you had such a vast spatial artifact, could you really fit this entire castle inside it?”
The speaker was a burly, blond-haired orc. His contemptuous air made it obvious that he was a powerful member of the orc royal family—the Golden Lion clan.
The jet lag had left Tian Yue feeling somewhat unwell, but knowing that her older brother was going to the San Francisco Medical Center today, she still forced herself out of bed. As a medical student determined to follow the same path as Tian Lu in the future, she had to accompany him and visit some of the hospitals there.
The Memory Crystal contained a great deal of information recorded by Xiuli. Although most of it consisted of common knowledge, it was still extremely useful to Tianxin.
Mingyue merely smiled and did not answer him. Instead, she said inwardly, I conducted more than a hundred soul-wave investigations during the fleet’s three-year journey to Snow Realm Star. How could I not know these things?
“Senior Brother, it is this spiritual flower they tried to seize as well.”
The young man pointed to the person ahead, his voice filled with hatred.
It was as though a thunderbolt had struck her head, a violent flash of lightning and roar of thunder. Mu Xuefu stood completely frozen, as though she had lost both her voice and her soul, unable to utter a single word for a long while.
Bainuo, I’m sorry. Something unexpected has come up today, so I can’t go shopping with you. Let’s go another day.
Shangguan Yizhu could not reach Lin Zhixiao’s mouth, nor could she bend his waist down, so she thought of climbing onto a nearby rock instead.
Suddenly, a hearty laugh echoed through the hazy space, even causing the surrounding space to tremble.
Before her eyes, hibiscus blossoms covered the ground, fluttering like pink butterflies through a world of glass. She froze where she stood. These hibiscus flowers were identical to the ice hibiscuses her father had cultivated for her.
How could this be? How could this be?
